I’m Yuan. I spent five years at Deloitte running SOC 2 audits for big tech across the US and Canada. LinkedIn, Ripple, Affirm, and a long list of names you’d recognize. Five years inside taught me that a great audit comes down to judgment. A senior catches the exception a junior walks right past. It also taught me how much of the process exists for no good reason.
I’m Lan. I’ve never run an audit, but I’ve sat on the other side of plenty. I watched audit season eat weeks of smart people’s time on status meetings and screenshot chasing. Between the two of us, we’ve seen this problem from every angle.

Where we think this is all going.
AI keeps lowering the bar to start a company. The next wave of founders will ship serious software with teams of two or three, and sooner or later every one of them hits the same wall. A big customer asks them to prove they can be trusted with sensitive data.
Right now that proof is a bad deal. The affordable auditors mostly rubber-stamp it, and the rigorous ones price for funded companies. You end up bleeding time and money you don’t have, for a report that doesn’t tell your buyer much anyway.
So we built Chiaro for the agent age. The same AI powering this new wave of companies is what lets us run a real audit at a price builders can afford. Trust shouldn’t sit behind a wall of money.
